Sissy bar bolts up from the bottom with allen bolts and in from the inside with chromed bolt. Barely visible next to the fender. Do take Jon;s advice and tape or cover and painted surface as scratching will occur if you don't. My OEM (suzuki) bag supports did not use any of the sissy bar fasterners.
